You can merge contacts that you own in Guild360/Salesforce.
Why would you merge contacts?
Sometimes a person will be added to Guild360 twice for various reasons, and in order to make sure we treat that person as a single human and not multiple people, those records should be merged.
You should not merge two contacts, even if they are flagged as duplicates, if they are different people in real life. Their contact may match as a duplicate based on a shared phone number or email, but merging them will merge two people into ONE contact which you do not want.
Who can merge contacts?
It's important to note that only the owner of the Contact will have the ability to merge Borrower Contacts, Public Partners, and Private Partners. This limitation is due to the standard Salesforce functionality combined with our team sharing model.

*IMPORTANT NOTE
This feature will allow you to merge any of your records that the system detects as a duplicate, based on certain matching criteria (matching exact primary email OR secondary email OR home phone + mobile phone).
If you have duplicates that do NOT meet the matching criteria, we recommend that you update the emails to match so that the system will detect the records as duplicates, thus allowing you to merge.
