If you are new to Guild or managing your contacts on an alternate CRM and would like to migrate your contacts over to Salesforce, we have an easy way to transfer your existing database.

Before continuing, please read the following:
- If importing borrower contacts or recruit contacts, please ensure that such actions will not violate any prior employment contracts or Guild's Unlawful Competition Statement, which you acknowledged during on-boarding.
- Guild's Unlawful Competition Statement requires that you abide by confidentiality obligations, restrictions on customer or employee solicitation, and other applicable legal duties to your prior employer.
- If you have questions regarding Guild's Unlawful Competition Statement, please contact Guild's Legal Department at legal@guildmortgage.net.
Let's begin:
- Download the appropriate import template attached at the bottom of this knowledge article.
- Make sure to list yourself as the Primary Owner and add your Branch #.
- Under the Lifecycle Stage on the borrower template, use the term 'Past Client' if the contact is a past client from another company. If the person never closed a loan with you, you can designate them as a Basic Prospect in this category.
- Under the I've Moved Campaign category, select Email to enroll in the moving announcement email campaigns, select Multi, to enroll in the email and postcard moving announcement campaign, or leave blank if you would like neither.
- The Primary Borrower Email field on the Co-Borrower tab connects the two borrowers under one household.
- Click on the Instructions tab on the Borrower Import template for details on naming conventions.
- Any information filled in will be transferred into Salesforce exactly how it's shown on the template. This information will be used to autofill mailing labels, drip emails, etc., so pay attention to capitalization and punctuation.
- Only contacts with a first name, last name and valid email address can be uploaded.
Add it to the queue:
- Email the Salesforce Consultant team (SFConsultants@guildmortgage.net) with the completed templates to verify and add to the upload queue.
Additional tips:
- Borrower contacts created in MyMortgage and LoanHub/MyKey Online App will transfer to the Salesforce system automatically, so all new borrower contacts entered into the system will sync with Salesforce as verified by email and phone number.
- Partner contacts in LoanHub/MyKey Online App do not transfer over, and will need to be added directly into Salesforce.
